A visit to the fascinating village of Eyam in the Peak District. Known as the Plague village from the bubonic plague of 1665/1666. The village locked itself in to stop the spread of the disease. Around half the villagers died. There are lots of cottages with plaques telling of the unfortunate residents. The Riley graves where Mrs Hancock buried her husband and 7 of her children all within a week. The boundary stone where money was left in vinegar in exchange for food. There’s quite a few cafes, a hall with a court yard + shops, a cracking plague museum. And of course a pub, the Miners Arms. Awesome place. Great rides in and out of the village. The Peak District has some fantastic scenery.

Meet Windmill Farm at 9.30am, stands up at 10am.

Return Windmill Farm approx 4.30pm
